Urea-formaldehyde resin is also known as urea formaldehyde resin. English abbreviation UF, is urea and formaldehyde in the catalyst (alkaline or acidic catalyst) under the action of condensation into the initial urea formaldehyde resin, and then under the action of curing agent or additives, the formation of insoluble, non-melting thermosetting resin at the end. The average molecular weight is about 10000. Linear urea-formaldehyde oligomer can be obtained by condensation of urea and 37% formaldehyde aqueous solution under the catalysis of acid or alkali.
